Details of the Offers
(1) Waldorf Astoria & Conrad Hotels
To redeem the Waldorf Astoria/Conrad Amex Offer, spend $350 or more at a Waldorf Astoria or Conrad property in the United States, and receive a statement credit of $70. This Offer expires on 1/31/2019.
In addition to US properties, the Waldorf hotels in Amsterdam, Berlin, Edinburgh and Paris are included in this Offer. Note that it is unusual to see this type of Amex Offer extended to some non-US hotels.
This Offer applies only to Waldorf Astoria and Conrad properties, and not to any other Hilton-portfolio brands.
The Offer states that reservations must be made either (a) online at waldorfastoria.com or conradhotels.com; (b) via the Hilton Honors App; or (c) by calling 1-800-925-3673 (Waldorf) or 1-800-266-7237 (Conrad). That said, we have successfully redeemed other Hilton-family Amex Offers when making reservations through Hilton’s main website at hilton.com.
The Offer states that Advance Purchase rates and Non-Refundable rates are not eligible. The Offer also states that it is only valid on room rate and room charges. However, we wonder if a physical gift card purchased at the hotel would actually qualify for the Offer. We have successfully triggered an Amex Offer for Waldorf Astoria in the past by purchasing a physical gift card at the front desk.
We are not aware of a version of this Offer that would earn Amex Membership Rewards (MR) points.

(2) Hilton (specific brand), Curio & Canopy Hotels
To redeem the Hilton/Curio/Canopy Amex Offer, spend $250 or more at a Hilton (that is, at the specific Hilton brand), Curio Collection, or Canopy hotel in the United States, and receive a statement credit of $50. This Offer expires on 12/31/2018.
The Offer states that reservations must be made either (a) online at hilton.com, curiocollection.com, or canopybyhilton.com; (b) via the Hilton Honors App; or (c) by calling 1-800-445-8667 (Hilton), 1-844-442-8746 (Curio), or 1-844-654-4529 (Canopy).
The Offer states that Advance Purchase rates and Non-Refundable rates are not eligible. It also states that gift card purchases are not eligible; however, we wonder if a physical gift card purchased at the hotel would actually qualify for the Offer. As we mentioned above, we have successfully triggered Amex Offers for another brand in the Hilton portfolio (Waldorf) by purchasing a physical gift card at the front desk.
We are not aware of a MR-earning version of this Offer.
We found the $250/$50 version of this Offer on an Amex Everyday card. We had a slightly different and less lucrative version of this Offer on our Amex Hilton Aspire card. On the Aspire, the Offer was for a $30 statement credit after spend of $300 or more.

Additional Thoughts and Analysis
These Offers will stack with Hilton’s current Moments Made BIgger promotion (triple Hilton Honors points at Waldorf and Conrad properties as well as some other hotels that Hilton classifies as “Luxury & Resort” properties; double points at all other Hilton-family properties), if the terms of both the Offer and the promotion are met. It should also stack with other Hilton-family promotions, like the current joint promotion with the Miles & More airline loyalty program (through 10/31/2018) or Hilton’s new-member promotion, again assuming that the terms of all promotions are met.
There are additional current Amex Offers for other Hilton-family properties, including Hampton & Hilton Garden Inn ($30 statement credit or 3,000 MR points for $175 spend, through 10/31/2018) and Embassy Suites/Homewood/Home2 Suites ($50 statement credit or 5,000 MR points for $250 spend, through 11/15/2018). Our article, Save Money on Hotels! Catching Up on 11 Current Amex Offers, provides the details of these Offers.
As far as we know, these Offers are subject to Amex’s recent one-Offer-per-person limitation. That said, if you have cards in multiple people’s names, you should be able to use the Offers multiple times for a single stay by splitting the payment at check-out. For example, Philly and I both have Amex cards with these Offers. If we had a Waldorf stay that cost more than $700, we could put at least $350 on my enrolled Amex card and another $350 or more on her enrolled Amex card, and thereby get 2 statement credits. In this example, you’d save $140 off a $700 stay, bring your total down to $560 and saving you 20%!
Also remember that if your bill is close to the spend threshold, you’ll save money if you purchase something else to bring your total up to an amount that will trigger the Offer. For example, if your Waldorf bill is $325, go to the hotel gift shop and buy something for $25 to bring your total to $350, then pay with your enrolled Amex card to trigger the credit. That way, you’ll get your $25 item for “free” and pay only $280 instead of $325.
There is no requirement that the $350 spend (for Waldorf/Conrad) or $250 spend (for Hilton/Curio/Canopy) be from a single transaction or a single stay. Multiple transactions should trigger the credit.
We hope you can take advantage of these Amex Offers to get additional value out of your upcoming hotel stays!
