A couple of weeks ago, we wrote about our very fun experience attending part of the taping of the Vegas Finals of this season of American Ninja Warrior and gave tips on how you can attend next year. If you missed that article, you can catch up here:
- Middle Age Miles: How to See the Vegas Finals of American Ninja Warrior – in Person! (August 26, 2019)
We attended taping for Stage 2 of the Finals, which will air tonight on NBC at 8:00 pm Eastern & Pacific time; 7:00 pm Central. We saw roughly the last half of the Stage 2 ninjas, including:
- Flip Rodriguez
- Michael Torres
- Kevin Carbone
- Drew Dreschel
- Tyler Gillett
- Lucas Reale
- Josh Salinas
- Adam Rayl
- Daniel Gil
- Ethan Swanson
- “Kid” Owhadi
I believe we also saw Dave Cavanagh and Hunter Guerrard, although we can’t recall for sure now. We also saw Alex Blick’s run, but we hadn’t quite reached our final watching spot yet during his run, so we won’t be as easy to spot.
We were standing on the front rail, positioned roughly at the transition between the “Swing Surfer” and “Grim Sweeper” obstacles. We’re wearing the clothes that you see in the featured image for this article. I’m big and wearing the bright blue shirt, so I’m not too hard to pick out of the crowd. In fact, I can spot myself in the background of this pre-release video of part of Flip Rodriguez’s Stage 2 run:

We’re hoping Philly’s star turn will come during Josh Salinas’ run. Watch for Philly enthusiastically encouraging him with her “Coach Josh” sign along the rail.
If you’d like to do a little more pre-show reading to get excited for tonight, here are a couple more articles from American Ninja Warrior Nation:
- We can’t get enough of these Stage Two previews!
- Stage Two brings us the new Grim Sweeper (complete with demonstration by Jessie Graf)
We hope you enjoy tonight’s ANW episode! It should be a very exciting final two shows of the season tonight and next Monday!
