Middle Age Miles had a nice stay at Caesars Palace earlier this year

Introduction

If you’re a regular reader of Middle Age Miles, you know that we work hard to find the best hotel deals in Vegas – and use them ourselves more often than we’d like to admit. We know a good bit about finding great hotel rates, yet this week we learned something we didn’t know about before:

Each Caesars property in Vegas has a dedicated web page of deals and promotions! How about that?

We usually find great rates at Caesars through promotional emails we receive that advertise their sales. In addition, as Diamond members in the Caesars Rewards program, we receive some status-related discounts. Between those discounts and the fact that Caesars Diamond members don’t pay resort fees, we’ve come up with some fantastic deals for ourselves and friends at Caesars properties this year.

At this point, we’ll give a reminder that you can status-match your way to Caesars Diamond status, in a two-step process via Wyndham Rewards, if you are Hilton Gold, Marriott Gold, or have high-level status with some other chains. Read about status-matching and follow the instructions in our very popular article:

The “Deals & Promos” Page for Each Caesars Vegas Hotel

Here are all of the “Deals & Promos” web pages for each of the Caesars hotels in Las Vegas:

Current Deals at Caesars Palace

As an example, let’s take a look at the current deals available on the Caesars Palace “Deals & Promos” page:

We previously wrote about the Caesars “Hot Rates” sale, in our “News & Notes” article on 9/11/19. In our estimation, this was a pretty decent sale. It’s still available for bookings for the next few days, through Monday, September 30. The sale is valid for stays all the way through July 31, 2020.

In addition, you’ll earn 5x Caesars Rewards tier credits for every $1 spend on hotel room rates and resort fees when you book directly with Caesars.

To book this deal, either (a) click through from the Caesars “Deals & Promos” page; or (b) go to the Caesars Booking Calendar and then Update your search to enter the Hot Rates promo code, which is HOT19. When we logged in to our Caesars Rewards account (with Diamond status), we were shown even lower rates than before we logged in.

The rest of the Caesars page shows an assortment of deals and promos, including:

  • Info about earning 5x tier credits when you book direct
  • A promotion to get a head start on earning tier credits for the Caesars Rewards 2020 year (2/1/2020 through 1/31/2021) – if you register, you can earn a 100 tier credit bonus for 2020, for every 500 tier credits you earn from 10/1/19 through 12/31/19 (up to a cap of 20,000 tier credits for 2020)
    • We registered for this one! (Tier credits are used to determine qualification for elite status in Caesars Rewards. Earning tier credits is unlikely to help us with status, as we’ll be planning to status-match our way back to Caesars Diamond for the 2020 and 2021 years. That said, it still never hurts to earn more actual tier credits – you just might get something useful as you accumulate tier credits, like the free night we earned for accumulating 5,000 tier credits during 2019 (see item #6 in this article))
  • A link to book using the 15% discount for Diamond and Seven Star members
  • An assortment of promotional “package deal” rates that include various types of property credits
  • A link to book “special rates” during the National Finals Rodeo dates, 12/5/19 through 12/14/19

Our Analysis

We really liked being able to see these various deals and promotions in one place. And we found it valuable. We were already aware of the “Hot Rates” sale, and given that it’s a pretty good one, we at least know that the “Deals & Promos” page isn’t all smoke and mirrors. We learned about the “2020 tier credit” promotion from this page, and we signed up for it. As for the other promotional rates and “package deals,” we haven’t investigated them and compared rates enough to know if they’re useful. But it’s interesting to know that they’re available, and you can check them out to see if the rates are competitive and whether they make sense for you.

Remember, of course, that Caesars waives resort fees for Diamond members, which can make staying at their hotels and even sweeter deal. For instructions on how you can match many hotel statuses (including Marriott Gold and Hilton Gold) to Caesars Diamond status, see our popular article:

Wrap-Up

We were very interested to learn of the “Deals & Promos” pages for all of the Caesars Vegas properties. As we said, it’s very nice to be able to access each hotel’s offers via a single web page. We weren’t aware of these pages before this week, so we hope that we can help some Middle Age Miles readers by sharing them!

In addition, we were happy to see and register for the “2020 tier credits” promotion, to potentially get a jump start on earnings for next year.

We’ll be checking these pages each time we’re planning a trip to Vegas, to see if we can sweeten our deals there!

Do you have any insight into the promotional “package deal” rates offered by Caesars or anything else on the “Deals & Promos” page? If so, please share with us and other Middle Age Miles readers in the Comments!
