Trip Report – Apr 2018 Rome & Amalfi Coast (coming soon)

Philly & Craig at the Colosseum in Rome

In April 2018, Philly and I took a week-long trip to Italy to celebrate our anniversary.  We stayed in Rome and in Positano on the Amalfi Coast, and along the way we were able to visit Naples, the lovely island of Capri, the towns of Amalfi and Ravello on the Coast (spoiler: Ravello was wonderful), and Pompeii.  It was a terrific first visit to Italy for both of us.

The genesis for this trip was finding business class Saver award availability on American’s non-stop flight from DFW to Rome.  We booked the seats months in advance and hoped the dates would work with our schedule.  Thank goodness, they did.  We’ll have more about the booking process in our “How We Did It” article.
