The magnificent Cliffs of Moher
For the past several summers, Philly and I have made a week-plus trip to Europe with daughter Maria and her longtime friend Erin. The 2016 edition of our traditional summer trip took us to Ireland, with a side trip to Scotland.
In Ireland, we had rental cars and covered a lot of ground, with Philly serving as our trusty wrong-side-of-the-road driver. The Irish part of our itinerary included: a night in an Irish castle; the magnificent Cliffs of Moher; Killarney; an unforgettable visit to Skellig Michael; Blarney Castle; Dublin; the ancient passage grave tombs at Brú na Bóinne; Belfast; and Giant’s Causeway. For our side trip to Scotland, we spent two days in Edinburgh.
